Improved large-database performance, garbage collection, and SQL and version-control correctness.

## Reliability and correctness

- Fixed merge transaction handling, schema replay, generated-column indexes, and preservation of untracked views and triggers during reset.
- Corrected foreign-key affinity, `CHECK` parsing, custom `count()` behavior, and recovery from incomplete WAL writes.

## Performance and testing

- Reduced GC memory growth and streamed checkpoint indexes with bounded buffers.
- Accelerated large-table reads, historical queries, blame, and foreign-key verification.
- Made the node cache respect smaller memory budgets while preserving default performance.
- Expanded fault, concurrency, and SQL regression coverage.
- Added large-table read benchmarks with stock SQLite comparisons and PR comments. Documented all performance suites, with checkpoint timings covered separately.
